JPL Technology Infusion - Large Language Models

Due to the popularity of ChatGPT, folks at JPL got quite exited (like the rest of the world!!). Two efforts were started as a result; An initiative called The LLM Shop, spearheaded by the Artificial Intelligence, Analytics, and Innovation Development Organization, which aimed at creating prototypes using LLMs and a four person led Foundation Model and LLM Task Force created by the DSWG (Data Science Working Group) to comprehensively understand various use cases and align them with existing technologies.

I worked as a lead and LLM expert in both these efforts and was part of more than 20 prototyping efforts, from various disciplines across JPL, that came out of it. Here are some notable ones:
